Hero ranks
A hero is bought once and improved by being bought again. Each rank raises their stats and hands them a choice — their own at B, their class's at A and S — which is why a duplicate on offer is never a wasted slot in the shop.
The ladder
- Ranks a hero has
- 4
- At rank B
- one of three specializations
- At ranks A and S
- a class upgrade
- At rank S
- an extra item slot
- Stats at every rank
- base + class increments
C, B, A and S. A duplicate bought from the shop is what raises one.
The hero's own three, and the only rank whose choice is theirs alone.
Drawn from the class's fifteen, not the hero's — 98 distinct upgrades across the seven classes.
For every hero, whatever their class.
A hero's primary and secondary stats grow faster than the rest; the hero pages compute the whole ladder.
Where the rest of it is
This page is the rule; the numbers are per hero and per class, so they live where they apply. Each hero's page computes their stats at all four ranks and lists their three specializations, and each class's page lists the fifteen upgrades it offers at A and S.
The stat formula itself is the game's, verified in play: a rank adds the base increment for every stat, plus a second increment for the class's primary stat and a third for its secondary ones. Percentages are truncated one at a time, which is why a computed ladder matches the game to the point rather than to the rounding.
In the game's words
- Rank: Heroes gain stats and unlock additional abilities as they gain Ranks. Purchasing an additional copy of a Hero from the shop increases their Rank.
- Buying a Hero you already own will rank them up!
- Ranking up a Hero can unlock new active and passive abilities, or even an extra Class!
- When ranking up, your Hero gains extra stats based on their Class!
- At Hero Rank A and S, upgrades are not unique to your Hero - your class determines the options.
- All S Rank heroes get an additional item slot
